Something near his feet broke away, and he could only guess that he was being freed. The light that came in, once his optics adjusted at last, showed him not much more than a flat, gray surface curving to a gentle arch over his frame.
Wing let out a strangled sound, unsure if it was from being able to see the reality of his own tomb or if it was from the sting from the backs of his wings and armor bent outward in ways it shouldn't have been as he was dragged out of his own grave. Neither of them could have been helped, and he kept himself silent as could be after that first pull at his ankles.
Relief crept into him upon his first look at his rescuer. Wing tried reaching up to touch his face, to make sure he was real though the arms around him certainly were, but he stopped short and let the hand droop back down to his abdomen. For a moment, he forgot about the light coming from within him, unable to feel any pain from the area to draw his attention back to it, but Subzero would be able to see clean through him, obstructed only by a scarred spark chamber and a spark burning brightly from within.
"I don't know," Wing whispered, taking his line of sight around the room as far as he could without sitting up. "I was dead, I'm sure of it. I should be dead."
