Wing heard Zero returning before he ever saw him. The sounds of footsteps in the halls were familiar, if only recently so, but he looked up anyway, hopeful that the mech who turned the corner would be another. It was another blow to his hopes when Zero appeared, but Wing smiled anyway to see him.
His optics flickered again at the hand on his forehead, and this time when he relaxed back, it wasn't entirely out of sorrow. "Thank you again. I cannot seem to say it enough."
